Presale starts at Saturn for gamescom 2017
Ingolstadt, 08.05.2017: There are nearly four months to go before gamescom 2017 gets underway from August 23rd to 26th. But shrewd gaming fans should buy their tickets now – for last year, the world’s biggest show dedicated to computer and video games was sold out several weeks beforehand. To make sure you don’t miss out, take a break for a while and get down to one of Saturn’s 155 stores in Germany, where the ticket presale is starting right now!
If you want to find out all about the latest products in the world of interactive entertainment, visiting gamescom 2017 is essential! This incredible expo held at the exhibition centre in Cologne is of key importance for the international gaming industry. Last year, some 345,000 visitors from 97 countries made their way to gamescom – to see innovations showcased by 877 exhibitors from 54 countries.

Although Saturn has reserved a large ticket allocation for its customers, once again they’re expected to sell out quickly. So if you’re thinking about buying tickets for gamescom 2017, there’s no time to lose!
Only ticket vouchers available during presale
Unlike in previous years, gamescom 2017 will open on Wednesday and close on Saturday. Organizers Kölnmesse have set the prices of day tickets at €14 (concessions: €8.50) for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and €18 (concessions: €12.50) for Saturday.
Another change this year is that during the presale period, customers can only purchase ticket vouchers from Saturn. Afterwards, because tickets are non-transferable, they have to be exchanged and personalized for an entrance ticket at the gamescom online ticket shop. Personalized tickets can then be printed at home or downloaded onto a mobile device. Saturn’s sales staff in the various stores will be delighted to explain the procedure to you.
Free travel on public transport
Tickets for gamescom 2017 also entitle holders to travel to and from gamescom by public transport at no extra charge using the Rhein-Sieg and Rhein-Ruhr networks. The required tickets can be downloaded when redeeming your ticket vouchers in the gamescom online ticket shop. Don’t forget to take these tickets with you as gamescom entrance tickets aren’t valid by themselves on public transport.
