Now even more information and inspiration: Saturn relaunches TURN ON magazine

Ingolstadt, 12.05.2016: More stories, more inspiration and a new look: The Saturn magazine TURN ON will be given a completely new look starting with the May/June 2016 issue. With the relaunch, the three pillars of Saturn’s content marketing strategy – the TURN ON print edition, the website turn-on.de and the YouTube channel – will be linked with each other more closely and complement one another even more in the future. Inspirational, authentic and informative: The cross-media content will arouse the readers’ interest in learning more and accompany them before, during and after the purchase of technology products.

“With the new magazine, we will be addressing our readers with even more exciting content and showing them how technology can enrich our lives”, says Oliver Mehwald, Managing Director of redblue Marketing GmbH, Media-Saturn-Holding GmbH's in-house advertising and marketing agency, and responsible for the strategic marketing of the Saturn brand. “TURN ON will make you want to deal with digitization – on all channels. For this reason, we will be interlinking the print magazine even more with the other contents of TURN ON and thus integrating it into our content strategy more closely.”

Journalistic style and experience columns
Information and inspiration come first with TURN ON. The goal is to establish close long-term relationships with the target audience. The redesigned TURN ON magazine will provide readers with journalistic reports, practical tips and informative articles. For instance, readers of the first redesigned issue will be able to read about the adventures that two surfers experience as they hunt for the perfect wave, the perfect home theater equipment for maximum enjoyment of the European Cup or whether they have the makings of a superhero. The new look and feel of TURN ON will be rounded off by a modern, high-quality appearance and plenty of photos and graphic elements. The columns will focus on worlds of experience and are entitled “Want to experience,” “Want to enjoy” and “Want to play,” for example. The new TURN ON magazine is now available free of charge at all 155 Saturn stores in Germany, the Saturn Connect Stores in Cologne and Trier and in the gate area of Air Berlin flights.

Website relaunch and new formats
The website turn-on.de is now being revised as well. Starting in the late summer, it will cover an even broader range of topics – from news on smartphones and gadgets to the best products in the area of entertainment, games and consoles and lifestyle at home and at work. In the area of video, Saturn will rely even more heavily on live events and brief bits of information, so-called “snackable content.” In addition, the contents of Saturn will be found more where the users enjoy consuming content in the future. For instance, TURN ON contents can be read directly on Facebook by using instant articles without even having to change channels.
