We take responsibility for emissions that arise directly or indirectly from our business activities along the value chain. We’re continuously developing new measures to optimize our operating processes and thus reduce our carbon footprint. In doing so, we are guided by the goals formulated in the Paris Climate Agreement to limit global warming.
We have set ourselves clear climate targets:
- We aim to increase our annual purchase of electricity from renewable sources to 100% by the end of 2023.
- We aim to achieve net zero carbon emissions for Scope 1 and 2 by the end of 2023.
- We aim to reduce the net CO2 intensity (net CO2 emissions in relation to total sales) of our relevant Scope 3 emissions by 30% by the end of 2033 compared to the baseline year 2019 (baseline for private label products is 2021).
